Mindy Meyers, 24, is of Algonquin decent. Mindy is passionate about Native American culture, language, and history. Being an assimilated family living in the suburbs, her family had little knowledge of their culture/traditions. Mindy took it upon herself to reach out to the elders in her community regarding traditional and spiritual ways of living. Mindy currently works with Native youth grades 6-12 and she hopes to inspire her students to follow the mino-bimaadiziwin (the good path).
