Your Health. Your Voice. Your Impact.
Have you ever wanted to see yourself represented in health and wellness content?
This is your chance to share your voice, support your community, and create culturally grounded health content alongside other Native young adults from across the country.
The We R Native Ambassadors Program is a paid, one-year opportunity for Native young adults ages 18–25 to build skills in health literacy and community outreach, while helping improve the health and wellness of Native communities.
Who should apply?
- American Indian and/or Alaska Native (enrolled member or descendant of a federally or state recognized tribe)
- Between the ages of 18–25
- Interested in public health, storytelling, or community wellness
- Passionate about supporting Native youth and communities
- Willing to learn, share, and collaborate with others
- Available to participate in virtual meetings and at least one optional travel opportunity
About the Program
The We R Native Ambassador program is rooted in the belief that Native
young adults are leaders, storytellers, and changemakers in improving their
own community health. These young leaders are sharing their voice,
supporting their community, and creating culturally grounded health
content alongside other Native young adults from across the country.
Serving a one-year term, We R Native Ambassadors serve as changemakers in their community, learning public health topics, as well as focusing on healthy relationships. As content creators and peer-to-peer support providers, these young leaders from across Indian Country will also represent Native young adult perspectives in local, regional, and national spaces, providing insight and feedback

Past Ambassadors
We are eternally grateful for the past We R Native Ambassadors who have helped lay the foundation for We R Native, whether by promoting our resources at local, regional, and national events or by creating content for the website.
From 2014 to 2019, over 150 young Native leaders chose to improve their communities, and many are still changing the world.
As we revive the ambassador program, we’d like to keep the foundation and honor those who have been such an integral part of our brand, values, and mission.
If you see a past ambassador in your community, give them a thank you and handshake on behalf of the We R Native team.
