Traci Solomon

Traci, Lummi (WA), strives to make her tribe a better place. As a We R Native Youth Ambassador, Traci wants to organize events to bring awareness of things that need to be changed in her community, such as alcohol and drug abuse, and violence. As a freshman in high school, Traci started a glee club, helping to organize the songs sang at her schools graduation. For this club, she had to organize and coordinate times and places to practice, fundraisers, and teachers to supervise their practices. Traci is also a part of Teens Against Tobacco Use, educating her peers about the effects of smoking. When not volunteering, Traci also plays softball, watches anime, and reads. Be on the lookout for Traci this year as she helps to make tribal communities achieve the change they want!
