In May, students from the Shoshone Bannock Healthy Empowered Youth (HEY) program offered yard clean-up services to elders in their community. Studentsborrowed lawn mowers, rakes, and a trailer, and spent the day mowing and planting flowers at two elder’s homes. Afterwards they shared a meal, and askedthe homeowner about their life. I looked and tried to find an answer to this but I was interested on a Native perspective. I absolutely love “southwestern” rug patterns and was hoping to buy one but cannot afford to buy one from a trading post
